Signs of life in my yard...

Spring is arriving, there are signs of life in my yard! Finally, we welcome the signs of life in the form of flowers budding, the trees budding, grass looking greener...and amazingly enough no allergy problems as yet! I hope I did not just jinx myself!!

I'm away from my desk tomorrow, Trevor has his citizenship interview appointment at the Immigration Office in Milwaukee and we're so excited! We're taking Emma despite being told in our letter to expect to be there up to 2-3 hours...we may regret this later. However, I won't be on my own out in the waiting area since our friends, Ian & Della have their same appointment for Ian's citizenship 20 minutes after Trevor's! We're looking forward to celebrating (we're sure they'll pass the tests) afterwards a different restaurant we have not tried yet. We plan on trying lots of sauces, it's a wing place and we LOVE wings, preferably boneless so we're pleased to see chicken strips on the menu also. I'm planning on trying to behave and maybe having the 1/2 wrap with salad lunch special. The wraps and salads all look really delicious! The whole menu sounds so tasty it will be hard to decide and hard to be good because they also have sweet potato fries and I have ALWAYS wanted to try those. The nice part is, when with friends, we can always split an appetizer.

They also have some tempting drink options I may have to taste! I am not driving and here are a couple of things I'm debating trying...

THE POLYNESIAN
Drift away to the islands with a mix of orange, pineapple, & cranberry juices plus X-rated Fusion Liqueur in a tall hurricane glass over ice, garnished with sweet cherry and an orange slice.

OR

THE CHALMATION
Much love for the people of “da parish” of St. Bernard and the city of Chalmette, LA birthplace of this fantastic fruity favorite. Kick back, relax and enjoy 32 big ounces in a signature cup filled with Smirnoff Vodka, Captain Morgan’s Parrot Bay Coconut Flavored Rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, and grenadine.

OR, who can resist chocolate...

GODIVA WHITE CHOCOLATE MARTINI
Godiva White Chocolate Liqueur, Absolute Vanilla, crème de cacao and dark chocolate syrup swirled in a martini glass.

I'd have tried all three drinks. For quality testing purposes, of course. Does that make me a lush? ;)

Hope the immigration adventure and lunch date went well for you, kitten!

The yard looks great, I love Spring.

I hope your immigration interviews went well!

We seriously have to get out more and try some new restaurants. Our favorite hang right now is Chili's.
